About Me

My technical Couture dressmaking training was completed in England this was my base the real inspiration began here in Canada. Inspired by the lake shore and the rugged Canadian shield with added influences from music and life it's self, I use raw edges and none mirror images to capture my imagery.

Although these garments are wearable art quality is a priority throughout each design. My winter coats are made from the best fleece in a variety of styles and sizes. Each one is appliquéd and embellished with tapestry  fabrics and yarns. My selection of summer wear range from theater coats to drizzle dresses.  Several techniques of printing are used from screen hand and glass mono printing, discharge dyeing and anything else I can dream up .

I set up shop at home on highway 61 for the duration of the Crossing Borders Studio tour lugging my equipment on a small scale. So for a short time I rollout of bed and go to work and greet you folks. My store in town (Thunder Bay) is open all year and it's there I make the biggest mess and show my work. I attend shows in the region and the One Of A Kind Show in Toronto.

My clothing travels the world and the owners are happy to bring tales back of their encounters. I love what I do and feel very privileged to practice my art and to think this all started with a dress-up bag that me mum had and a huge button box.
